Stay Cool ACR is a Sydney-based mechanical services contractor specialising in air conditioning, ventilation and mechanical works for commercial fit-out projects. We work closely with builders, contractors and project teams to deliver quality workmanship, reliable service and practical solutions from installation through to project completion. Mechanical design development and consultant coordination, shop drawings and technical submissions, BCA/NCC and AS 1668.2 compliance, lessor fitout guide compliance, Section J insulation and ductwork requirements.

Tenancy fit-outs, warm shell and base build integration, decommissioning and removal of redundant plant, staged and after-hours works in occupied and trading premises.

VRV/VRF heat recovery and heat pump systems, ducted and cassette split systems, fan coil units and branch selector boxes, refrigerant pipework and insulation, insulated ductwork and air distribution, linear slot diffusers, swirl diffusers and plenum boxes, outside air and toilet exhaust systems, mechanical ventilation, condensate drainage, electrical and controls, thermostats and local controllers.

Air balancing with balanced flow rate reports for engineer review, demonstration of commissioned equipment, personnel training, O&M manuals with as-built drawings, balanced air quantities and plant operating curves, 12 months maintenance and warranty on installation.

Who we are.
Stay Cool ACR is owner-operated by James Currie, who brings 15 years in the trade to every project, and works as both a design-and-construct contractor and a construct-only subcontractor under head contract.
We are built around direct principal involvement. The person quoting your job is the person coordinating it on site, which means fewer handovers, faster RFI turnaround and no gap between what was priced and what gets installed. Projects run from metro Sydney through to regional New South Wales.

James from STAY COOL ACR has delivered mechanical packages on multiple projects for us and is typically one of the most reliable trades on site. He is the across the programme from day one, raises coordination issues early and sorts them out before they reach the critical path. Services are always installed to an extremely high standard. Commissioning is handled properly. Testing and balancing are completed ahead of practical completion, and documentation comes through in full, with no chasing needed before PC.
James communicates plainly, keeps his word on dates and treats site safety as non-negotiable. We would engage James again without hesitation.
